Restoration Work at St Peter's
Having stood proudly at the edge of the village for 700 years, the church building is beginning to show the effects of time, weather and environmental factors.
- The iron supports used by the Victorian custodians to secure the stunning stain glass West Window, which dates back to 1847, has become affected by rust, causing damage to the surrounding masonry
- The wooden stairs leading to the belfry are in need of replacing having become dangerous to climb.
Unfortunately, all repairs and maintenance to buildings is expensive and even more so with a Grade 1 listed building such as St Peter's Church.
Whilst the PCC is actively seeking grants towards the £100,000+ needed to carry our all essential repairs, donations are also required to ensure this vital work can be completed.
If you feel able to support this crucial work which will help preserve this beautiful building for future generations, you can donate online by clicking on this link.
